Dr. Maryam Zafarghandi is an accomplished anesthesiologist and pain specialist based in Tehran. She completed her medical education as a general practitioner at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She further specialized in anesthesiology and pain management with a fellowship at Iran University of Medical Sciences. Dr. Zafarghandi has been actively involved in various professional roles, serving as the scientific and executive secretary, speaker, and workshop moderator for the Iranian Local Anesthesia and Pain Association at multiple congresses from 2012 to 2019.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Local Anesthesia and Pain Society of Iran and contributes as a reviewer and translator for the society’s journals in both Persian and English. Dr. Zafarghandi is highly skilled in performing non-invasive interventions and nerve blocks to treat joint pains, arthritis, spinal, back, neck disc pain, headaches, and pain caused by cancer, making her a respected figure in her field of pain management and patient care.
