Dr. Monir Mirai is a dedicated radiation oncologist who found her passion for oncology after a personal experience with her mother’s battle with advanced breast cancer. Initially, she graduated in general medicine from Tehran University in 1999. With a strong interest in medical education, she pursued a master’s degree in medical education at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and worked for several years at the Ministry of Health. However, after her mother’s passing, Dr. Mirai shifted her focus entirely to radiation oncology, a field that captured her interest due to its combination of physics, creativity, and the opportunity to design individualized treatments for patients.
Dr. Mirai completed her specialization in radiation oncology at Tehran University, graduating second in her class. She later served as academic staff at Khansari Hospital in Arak, where she completed her specialization plan. Eager to stay at the forefront of advancements in her field, Dr. Mirai took courses in Canada to learn new radiotherapy techniques, which she has since implemented in Iran to better serve her patients.
Her approach to radiation oncology blends scientific precision with compassion, helping patients who need critical care with innovative and personalized treatments.
