From Personal Experience to Professional Passion
Dr. Monir Mirai is a dedicated radiation oncologist in Tehran whose career path was profoundly shaped by her mother’s battle with advanced breast cancer. After graduating in general medicine from Tehran University in 1999, she initially pursued medical education, earning a master’s degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and working at the Ministry of Health. However, her mother’s passing inspired her to transition into radiation oncology—a field that combined her interests in physics, creative treatment planning, and personalized patient care.
