Dr. Maryam Rastgoo Damavandi is a highly qualified physiotherapist based in Tehran, Iran, with an extensive academic and professional background in physiotherapy. Born in 1981, she completed her undergraduate degree in physiotherapy from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where she graduated with top honors. She continued her education, obtaining a master’s degree in physiotherapy, where she ranked 5th nationally, and later completed her doctorate, securing the 3rd national rank in physiotherapy.
Dr. Rastgoo has significant experience in both academic and clinical settings. She has taught physiotherapy students at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and worked as a pediatric physiotherapist at Mofid Children’s Hospital and Shahada Tajrish Hospital. Her specialization includes a wide range of physiotherapy techniques and treatments for both adults and children.
She is also a published author, having written the book “Back Pain: Prevention and Treatment Methods,” which has been reprinted three times since its initial publication in 2006. Additionally, she has authored a guidebook for the care of cystic fibrosis patients, drawing from her experience at Mofid Children’s Hospital. Dr. Rastgoo has contributed numerous articles and presented her research in national and international journals and conferences.
