Tecar Therapy

Tecar therapy, also known as Capacitive and Resistive Energy Transfer (CRET), is an advanced physiotherapy treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate tissue repair, reduce pain, and accelerate healing. It is commonly used in treating musculoskeletal conditions such as joint pain, muscle strains, sprains, and inflammation.

The therapy works by transferring electromagnetic energy deep into the tissues, generating heat and promoting increased blood flow, which aids in the body’s natural healing process.

One of the main advantages of Tecar therapy is that it is non-invasive and provides quick relief from pain while enhancing mobility. It is used in both the acute and chronic stages of injury and is particularly popular among athletes for its ability to speed up recovery times.

The treatment can be applied in two modes: capacitive, which targets superficial tissues like the muscles, and resistive, which penetrates deeper into tendons, ligaments, and bones.

Tecar therapy is effective in treating conditions such as osteoarthritis, back pain, tendonitis, and post-surgical recovery. Sessions are typically comfortable for patients and can be combined with other physiotherapy techniques to enhance overall treatment outcomes.
