Brain Tumor

A brain tumor is an abnormal growth of cells within the brain that can disrupt normal brain function. These tumors can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) and may originate within the brain or spread from other parts of the body. Symptoms often depend on the tumor’s size, type, and location and can include headaches, seizures, vision or speech problems, and changes in personality or cognitive function. Diagnosis typically involves imaging studies such as MRI or CT scans, and a biopsy may be required to determine the tumor’s nature. Treatment options vary based on the tumor’s characteristics and may include surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Advances in medical technology and research continue to improve treatment outcomes and patient prognosis.
