Chin Augmentation

Chin augmentation is a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the appearance of the chin and improve facial harmony. This procedure can address a recessed or weak chin, which can impact overall facial balance and aesthetics. Chin augmentation can be achieved through various methods, including the use of implants, fat grafting, or surgical reshaping of the chin bone.

Chin implants are a popular option and involve placing a silicone or other biocompatible material implant through an incision made either inside the mouth or under the chin. Fat grafting involves harvesting fat from another part of the patient’s body, purifying it, and injecting it into the chin area to add volume and contour. Surgical reshaping of the chin bone, known as genioplasty, can also be performed to reposition the chin and improve its appearance.

Recovery from chin augmentation typically involves swelling and bruising, with most patients resuming normal activities within a few weeks. The results provide a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing facial profile, enhancing both appearance and self-confidence.
