• 1. Do you perform open or closed rhinoplasty?

  The closed method is the best choice in primary rhinoplasty surgery, and we do it this way. The open method is used for more complex cases.

• 2. Is rhinoplasty performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia in the office?

  Performing this operation with local anesthesia, especially in the office, is dangerous and not recommended at all. The best method is general anesthesia.

• 3. Is the fleshy nose reversible after rhinoplasty?

  No, it is not reversible if the operation techniques are performed correctly and the patient follows post-operation care instructions properly.

• 4. What is meant by the reversibility of a fleshy nose?

  Reversibility refers to the accumulation of fat in the area above the tip of the nose and drooping of the tip, both of which are almost impossible to occur if the post-operative precautions are followed correctly.

• 5. Please explain the correct way to wash the nose after surgery.

  In a lying position with the head back or bent over a sink, use a syringe filled with cold boiled water and apply a washing serum with pressure inside the nose. Fin with moderate pressure without interfering with the hand. Be careful not to insert the syringe into the nose and place it in the opening of the nostril. Repeat this at least four times a day.

• 6. Do you use tampons after rhinoplasty?

  Yes, at the end of the operation, two small wicks dipped in antibiotic ointment are placed inside the nose and removed the day after the operation.

• 7. Do you have to wait until 17 years old to have a nose job?

  The decision is not based solely on the person's age but on the cessation of bone growth. If there have been no significant changes in height or facial size in recent years, the individual may be a suitable candidate for surgery.

• 8. How long should one wait to get pregnant after nose surgery?

  You can get pregnant one month after nose surgery and proceed with the pregnancy without any issues.

• 9. Is there anything wrong with taking Rakutan tablets after nose surgery?

  There is no problem in taking this pill one month after surgery.
