Dry Cupping

Dry cupping is a traditional therapeutic practice used to enhance blood flow, reduce pain, and promote relaxation. This technique involves placing cups on the skin to create a vacuum effect, which helps to pull the skin and underlying tissue upward. The suction can be achieved either by heating the cups or using a mechanical pump. The primary goal of dry cupping is to stimulate the flow of Qi (energy) and blood in the body, which can help alleviate muscle tension and promote overall wellness.

During a dry cupping session, cups are typically left in place for about 5 to 15 minutes. The skin underneath the cup may turn red or purple due to the increased blood flow and minor bruising, which is a normal part of the process. Dry cupping is often used to address issues such as chronic pain, muscle soreness, and fatigue. It can also aid in improving circulation and reducing inflammation.
